Officially launching this Thursday, Hightide - Queensland Design Now is a book produced by Luxxbox's lead designer Jason Bird in collaboration with a coterie of well-known players in the Queensland design scene.

After years of wading in the waters of Australian design obscurity it's lovely to see, at last, significant focus directed towards the amazing output of Queensland's local designers. Jason says, 'Hightide features a unique group of designers who all seem to share a global view + outlook whilst at the same time being undeniably influenced by our Queensland surrounds in our ideas + output... Bringing these design professionals together in one graphic book seemed like a natural step in the journey for the design industry in Queensland.'

The book balances beautiful product imagery with informative, critical writing about the place of design in the world, not just Queensland.
